I truly love being a Des Moines Wedding Photographer. There are always so many great venues that I have experienced working with. One such one has always been Bash Events Des Moines. I love working with Bash, they also did all the catering for this wedding as well! My second shooter Andraya Stender, and I both felt the whole day just went so at ease. The wedding was such beautiful with flowers by something chic. They smelled so amazing. Great atmosphere and music by Spotlight entertainment. The day turned out to be a lovely fall day. We started out by taking some photos at the nearby Papa John’s sculpture park. There are some really great areas there of great trees and foliage too.
Then, the reception and second half of the day was so much fun. A mix of 2 cultures and families coming together. Felipe’s Brazilian family and friends. Their volleyball community as well and Christina’s family. There was so much great music and lots of dancing at this event. Which is always a lot of fun to photograph when I get a great dance crowd.
As a Des Moines Wedding Photographer, I always really love it when I see families and clients putting so many of their personal touches in to their day. Christina’s brother was their officiant, Felipe’s mom made traditional Brazilian brigadeiros, (They were soooo tasty!) and Christina’s mom hand painted little pots for seedlings. All these little things, and their loved ones coming together made for so many special moments. Congrats you two!
