As a Des Moines Family Photographer, one of my favorite ways to help clients is with my online styling tool. There are really no limits to how you can use this. If you need help pulling several outfits this can help make it simple and easy. With this tool it is really easy to begin styling your whole family from the comfort of your home. Sit back in your comfy chair and not have to run into a store and guess.

The tool has a simple questionnaire about your family where you fill out ages, style and colors you may like. The quick results page will show you clothing items for each family member. Then you can view them side-by-side once you have favorited your pieces. It can also help see what you may already have laying around in my closet that you could pull together.

When it comes to styling outfits as a Des Moines Family Photographer, I also really try to help accommodate clients. Clients who may want a wow piece but don’t want to spend $$$. Having a few boutique and high end clothing items in my client closet helps, and I am always adding more.

As a Des Moines Family Photographer sometimes I get asked what would be a definite no to wear. Thus some of my do nots would be neon green. It usually never good to neon anything especially neon green in the middle of a green forest. (unless we are doing a stylized neon concept just nope.) Branding and logos would be another nope. It can really date an image and take away a timeless feel.

Furthermore, some great yes things would be to adding on an accessory or layer. It can really help tell a story. Have your kids bring a favorite toy. Does your partner play guitar?Bring it and have them play a family favorite. If it is a chilly day, a blanket can help add warmth while creating textures. I as Des Moines Family Photographer, always have some extra quilts laying around in my car we can use too. Overall, scarves, special jewelry, toys, books, can all add to your images. It can capture where your family and kids are in this moment. One of my favorite personal photos is of my youngest child with his favorite stuffed cat. Furthermore, one last thing is to bring what has meaning for you. Wear what you are comfortable in and feel your utmost best.
